Sessions with toddlers can always go one of two ways: chaos or fun. And this session was fun and full of energy! The kid did great! Clients often ask me, as a family photographer, if there is anything parents can do to help their family session with small children run smoothly?

 Here are a few tips for avoiding mistakes with little ones at your family photo session:
I recommend bringing favourite toys and some snacks, just in case! But no snacks that would turn the mouth blue or red. The small sized marshmallows or cookies work great!

Children are especially sensitive to stress or worries, so please try to remain cheerful prior to and during the session. Don’t worry if your child isn’t behaving perfectly during the session, remain positive. Here you are a beautiful mama with a very active child, motherhood portraits can be fun as you see.
